Prism Power Communication is designed for high-impact professionals who are ready to polish their communication skills and increase their professional influence.

It is particularly well suited to female professionals, folks who speak English as a second language, non-traditional thinkers, and anyone else who has felt "othered" in the workplace. 

The purpose of this course is to help you show up with poise, authority, clarity and compassion and to showcase your authentic self and the messages that are most important to you.

This learning membership is unique.

We will combine practical public speaking and communication skills training with evidence-based brain-body skills to help you stay focused under pressure and advanced rhetoric and messaging training to help you share your thoughts with clarity and power, even when you don't have enough time to prepare.

You will also have the time you need to grow your confidence and skill level at your own pace, as well as the practice opportunities and community support to ensure that your learning "sticks."

You will become more poised, confident, and personally powerful, which can impact your career and personal life in many ways.

Some participants have reported getting big promotions, significantly increasing their income as entrepreneurs, and even having more luck communicating with family members.

But it would be silly for us to guarantee those things for anyone because every person's journey is different.

Hello, I am Mari, and I am your expert tour guide for this learning and transformation adventure.

I specialize in helping motivated individuals consistently perform well in high-stakes circumstances and increase their authentic leadership presence both on camera and on stage. I work with leaders and teams to help them build deeper relationships and inspire more buy-in.

Professionals working with me increase confidence and poise, improve vocal power and stamina, learn to maintain audience engagement during virtual presentations, and craft a unique approach to presenting that marries their personal style with their professional goals.

My work is grounded in voice and speech coaching, business development, public speaking, the neuroscience of peak performance, and live theatre performance.

I have been helping leaders and entrepreneurs reach their goals since the year 1999.

During that time, I have spent more than 16 thousand hours coaching professionals to claim their distinctive professional presence. I have also given over 2,950 speeches and performances myself.

I am a certified Roger Love Voice Coach and Vocal Stamina and Recovery Specialist, a Certified Virtual Host & Presenter through E-speakers, and a CPTE graduate of Coach University.

I attended Colorado University Boulder Campus as a Theatre Major "back in the day" and am a proud graduate of the Meisner program at Freehold Theatre Studio in Seattle WA.

A regular membership gives you access to group events, digital resources, and online community only.

A VIP membership gives you access to everything in the general membership and entitles you to four private 1:1 coaching sessions with Mari. We will work on your personal leadership and communication goals in the private sessions. You may use your sessions to go deeper into one of our monthly topics, get support on an upcoming presentation or a workplace communication challenge, or have Mari give you further guidance in unlocking your unique talents.

Private sessions are held over Zoom and are scheduled as needed. You may choose to use your sessions at the beginning of your membership for a faster impact or save them until later in the year in case a big opportunity or communication challenge arises. Like Toastmasters, this program is designed to help you increase your leadership skills, confidence, and public speaking skills.

Unlike Toastmasters, we won’t count how many times you say “um” or make you refer to others in your cohort by silly titles such as “Mr. Toastmaster” or “Madam Topics Master.”

But seriously…

Our membership seeks to give you skills that support your effectiveness in both informal and formal speaking situations. It consciously focuses on uplifting diversity, includes content on how to manage challenging conversations more effectively, helps you unlock your own unique speaking style, and supports you in transitioning into getting paid to speak if and when that is appropriate for you. We also strive for a contemporary and fun vibe.

This program is also unlike Toastmasters because it is not a nonprofit run at a club level but a for-profit endeavor led by a trained communication coach.

Don’t get us wrong; we love both nonprofits and clubs. And some Toastmasters clubs deliver outstanding service and results. But the fact of the matter is that when you engage in skill-building through a club structure it has its challenges.

When you develop your skills through a Toastmasters club, the quality of your learning will depend largely on the skills and experiences of other volunteer club members. 

And because of the need for volunteers to keep things running smoothly, the skill levels represented can vary significantly from club to club.

The challenge can be particularly difficult for many emerging speakers who join Toastmasters because the heart of your learning comes from peer-to-peer feedback. While that can sound welcoming, the fact is that the peers in any given club may or may not be skilled at delivering inclusive and supportive learning feedback. They may or may not have the experience and skills to pinpoint the specific feedback content that would be most helpful and relevant.

There are amazing chapters of Toastmasters out there, to be sure! And there are also chapters where the work they do can lead to speeches that look, sound, and feel the same and where participants complain of a culture that has an unhealthy disdain for mistakes and a focus on style over substance that leaves them feeling a lack of support to craft genuine, unique and compelling content.

By contrast, the Prism Power Communications cohort is led by Mari Geasair, who has 25  years of experience as a paid speaker, as well as being trained in Coaching through Coach University and is a Certified RLMC Speaking Coach, and Voice Recovery Specialist (as well as a professional Theatre artist-both as an actor and director.)  And the peer feedback is restricted to sharing with each other what went RIGHT. Corrective or instructive feedback is only delivered by Mari and is calibrated to the unique needs and preferences of the individual receiving it.

The result is a sharper focus on helping people grow your own unique style of speaking and presenting, a stronger container for inclusivity and support, and a single individual to go to if you need further help or modifications to get what you need from the experience.

Individual sessions are your chance to get 1-1 support from Mari to help you build confidence and master skills specific to your needs.

They can be used in one of two ways.

1) For those looking for immediate support in mastering public speaking skills, you can use all of your private sessions at the beginning of your membership. This serves as a private jumpstart course and helps you build a solid foundation fast. You can then use the on-demand learning assets to expand your understanding and the monthly practice meetings to continue honing your skills.

2) For those who feel reasonably confident with their public speaking skills and are more interested in the other elements of professional communication we explore through the cohort, you can use your sessions as needed throughout the year. Simply schedule a private session when we cover a particularly relevant topic to you or when a communication issue or opportunity comes up in your own life.

Scheduling sessions with Mari simply means sending an email and requesting your session. (Please note: due to my coaching and public speaking schedule, I typically require a two-week lead time to fit you in. So plan ahead!)
