This training is unique.

We go beyond a "mindset and exposure" approach and instead combine practical,neuroscience based communication training with active practicew in alligning your nervous system and learning to speak clearly under pressure. 

You get more than a pep-talk and some quick tips. We will share an organized skill building and confidence enhancing process to help you stay focused under pressure. 

We will also provide practical messaging training to help you share your thoughts with clarity and power, even when you forgot what you wanted to say, or you don't have enough time to prepare.

The micro-group format allows you to learn by watching others and gives you safe and gently practice opportunities to ensure that your learning "sticks."

Panic to Poise stands apart from a traditional speaking club by offering a structured, skill-building process with personalized coaching from an expert to help accelerate your growth. While many participants find this program to be an effective quick-start before joining a speaking club or networking group, our approach is designed to be more tailored and impactful, particularly for busy professionals.

Like a speaking club, Panic to Poise aims to boost your leadership skills, confidence, and public speaking abilities. However, unlike many clubs, we focus on delivering practical tools and brain-body skills to improve your speaking quickly and effectively—without needing months of participation to see results. You won't be graded on filler words like "um," and you won't have to refer to people with quirky titles like "Clubmaster" or "Madam Topics Chair."

Instead, our program provides a results-driven environment that is focused on helping you unlock your own unique speaking style and supporting you in your personal and professional goals. The training is designed to give you immediate, actionable strategies to manage nervousness, navigate challenging conversations, and communicate more effectively—skills that are often overlooked in a traditional club setting.

In addition, our program consciously prioritizes diversity and inclusion, ensuring that your learning experience is personalized and aligned with your individual needs. This focus helps you gain the confidence to communicate authentically in both professional and personal settings.

While we deeply respect and appreciate the value of nonprofit speaking clubs, it's important to recognize that they often come with limitations. Many speaking clubs are volunteer-run, meaning the quality of feedback and instruction can vary depending on the experience of the members. For emerging speakers without prior training, relying on peer-to-peer feedback can result in slower progress, as peers may not always have the expertise to provide constructive, personalized guidance.

In contrast, Panic to Poise is led by Mari Geasair, a seasoned expert with 25 years of experience as a paid speaker, plus certifications as a coaching professional and voice recovery specialist. Mari’s background in theater as both an actor and director brings a unique perspective to the program. Additionally, the peer feedback portion of our course focuses solely on what participants did well, while corrective or instructive feedback is provided exclusively by Mari, tailored to the individual's needs.
